In a bid to increase our chances of scoring the goals previously contributed by Christian Benteke, it appears a deal is close for Benik Afobe. The 22 year old England U21 hitman has been catching the eye at Wolves having previously failed to make the grade at Arsenal.
Having discussed the current limitations of Villa’s strikeforce yesterday, the likely addition of at least another face in the line-up isn’t overly surprising, particularly given how few prolific goalscorers we possess.
However, Afobe is barely into a 3 year deal with the Championship side and it may require an above value bid to prize him away from the Molineux. Easy come, easy go…

Man Utd Review
Whilst it wasn’t the result we’d hoped for, we do appear to be getting things together. Indeed, we already look head and shoulders above the style of play that Sherwood inherited at the back end of last season. It’s not all bad & we must remain optimistic; the future is bright:
