Comprehensive Match Preview: Manchester United vs. Aston Villa
PRE-MATCH COMMENTS:
Dean Smith:
You’re playing against top talent in this league and if you stop concentrating you’ll concede goals.
The next thing for me is when we’re playing against some of these big teams and we take the lead and go on to win it, when we do that it’ll give everyone that belief we can do it and stand toe-to-toe with these clubs.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
We’ve got players coming back.
We’ve suffered from injuries badly and now we’re getting more and more back that will only help us.

“My prediction is that it will be a tough game but i think Villa could actually nick something out of the fixture.”
Score Prediction: Man Utd 1-2 Villa – with Grealish and El Ghazi scoring for Villa
LAST TIME OUT
Villa are back on their travels this Sunday afternoon facing Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Conor Hourihane and Anwar El Ghazi were on target in the space of four first half minutes to give Villa a confidence boosting victory over Newcastle and with it ending a run of three Premier League defeats.
FLASHBACK
Dean Smith’s men produced crisp, flowing football which was almost rewarded when Douglas Luiz unleashed a curling shot followed by a brilliant save from Martin Dubravka.
Midfield Maestro
Conor Hourihane was restored to the Villa line up in place of Marvelous Nakamba, a decision that paid off handsomely for Smith.
With Grealish, Luiz and the Irishman all keen to strike the free kick on the edge of the box. It was Hourihane who stepped up, sending a curling left footed strike around the wall and past the stranded Dubravka.
Super Jack
Jack Grealish returned after missing the defeat at Molinuex through injury and his influence was there for all to see. The homegrown star was in top form against th Geordie’s, picking apart the Newcastle defence.
Grealish’s return to the team was a welcome sight for every Villa fan, particularly with a tough run of games coming up, such as a trip to United today.
