As featured earlier, Aaron Tshibola is off following a patchy early Villa career.
After a relatively bright start, including a decent performance in the 3-0 home win against Rotherham, his development has faltered.
Injury and fitness issues have persisted for a player who had similar struggles at his former club Reading.
More concerning, it also included a period in the Under-23’s (development squad) where he failed to impose or impress the new boss or fans.
The £5 million signing, just 22 years old, will now have a period away from Villa Park at the City Ground.
This presumably follows the signings of Bjarnason, Hourihane & Lansbury to bolster Villa’s beleaguered midfield options.
Intriguingly, it would also suggest that Steve Bruce is happy going into the final portion of the campaign with Jedinak, Westwood & Gardner in reserve.
Tshibola will link up with Nottingham Forest initially on loan.
Key Stats:
- 22 years old.
- Signed by Roberto Di Matteo
- “Box to box” midfielder.
- 8 league appearances for Villa
- Right sided.
- England international at youth level.
- Contract at AVFC until 2020.
