Villa & Wolves have today confirmed the previously reported signing of Kourtney Hause.
Hause will initially link up with Villa on a loan deal, with Dean Smith retaining the option to sign the defender permanently at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
Hause, just 23 years old, impressed at Wycombe and this earned him a transfer in 2014 to Wolves.
In all the defender, who can play at either centre half or left back, made 67 appearance at Molineux. However, following their successful promotion to the Premier League in 2018 and ongoing aggressive recruitment, Hause now appears surplus to requirements.
The youngster, capped 10 times at U21 level for England will go into immediate contention within Villa’s woeful back four. Whilst the left back role could easily be made his own, James Chester’s knee troubles will likely see Hause become a partner for Tommy Elphick.
In speaking to the official site, Hause remarked:
I’m very excited to be joining a massive club like Aston Villa and I can’t wait to get going.
I’ve got a good vibe from the manager. He wants me to come in and improve as a player and hopefully I can help the team.
