This was a fine opportunity for Jack Grealish to again demonstrate his worth to England in what turned out to be a comfortable win at Wembley.
This friendly game against Wales proved to be an effective warm up for Gareth Southgate’s side, ahead of competitive matches against Belgium and Denmark next week.
England, whilst much changed owing to player withdrawals and disciplinary issues, cruised to a 3-0 win over Ryan Giggs’ side. Much of this was down to a sublime display from Villa’s Jack Grealish.

Grealish’s quick feet were too much for the Welsh defence, with the 25 year old creating a yard for himself before delivering an inch perfect cross. Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, in unstoppable goalscoring form, duly headed home with ease to give England the lead.
It was a performance of genuine high quality from Grealish, picking up where he had left off after terrifying current Premier League Champions Liverpool (7-2) last Sunday.
In fact, he has now been directly involved in 6 goals in the last 5 days. Remarkable. Grealish’s stock continues to rise and justifiably so during excellent early season form, with this latest showing a reminder of just what he can consistently offer the national team.

GREALISH ASSIST
Also making the a telling contribution was Villa centre half Tyrone Mings. Mings came off the bench and also provided an assist, rising highest from a corner to head the ball back for Danny Ings to score England’s third.
Overall though, this will be a night that belongs to Man Of The Match Jack Grealish.
