TOM CARROLL
Swansea midfielder Tom Carroll has joined Villa for the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign.
Carroll, now 26, was strongly linked to Villa whilst still at Spurs before later opting to sign for The Swans.
It’s understood that owing to the close proximity to the deadline, that this deal is subject to international clearance.
The highly regarded midfielder has struggled with injury of late, but is now match fit.
The former England U21 international captain is a creative central midfielder and joined Swansea for £4.5m from Tottenham in 2017. He remains under contract until 2020.
The Swans are desperately trying to reduce their substantial wage bill after relegation from the Premier League.
