The former Manchester City striker and current Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is still just 23 as reports suggest that Villa hold an interest.

Villa have been troubled by an impotent strike-force all of the last season, with Wesley still settling, Davis goalshy and Samatta finding the net just twice since arriving in January 2020.

Iheanacho, a Nigerian international, came to prominence after a big move to The Etihad, but has since had to ply his trade at former Premier League champions Leicester City.

The former FIFA Under 17 Golden Ball winner is also being tracking by former Villa boss Steve Bruce at Newcastle United as well as our newly promoted neighbours West Bromwich Albion.

Iheanacho has 34 goals in 117 Premier League games having started his career top flight career in 2015.

Iheanacho was signed by Leicester City on a five-year contract on 3 August 2017, for a reported £25 million fee.
