Callum O’Hare was one of many Villa youngsters who have been sent out on loan to get valuable senior football for the remainder of the campaign.
O’Hare, a player who has shown great promise within Villa’s Under-23 set up over the last couple of seasons, has started promisingly at loan club Carlisle United.
O’Hare was rewarded for a solid first appearance with Man Of The Match & an assist.
You can see highlights of his performance against Exeter below:
Speaking to the local press, O’Hare is clearly pondering his own development and growth as a footballer:
Coming through at Villa has been brilliant – it’s a great club with great fans – but my time is now to come here, show Carlisle fans what I can do and hopefully push on as a footballer.
…knowing you can come through from such a young age, like Jack [Grealish] did, and make it to be one of their best players if not their best player.
I’ve been at Villa since I was six and have learned a lot from some good players.
It’s all I’ve known throughout the years but now it’s time for a change – and this is a change I needed.
I like to get on the ball a lot and make things happen. I also like to chip in with a few goals and, on the defensive side, I will work hard. I’ll do everything I can for the team.
O’Hare is expected to remain at Carlisle for the rest of the 2018 / 2019 campaign.
