Villa step up pursuit of £10m rated winger Trezeguet.

Mahmoud Trezeguet

After weeks of speculation linking Villa with Egyptian midfielder Mahmoud Trezeguet, matters now appear to be moving along.

Following on from Villa securing the services of Tyrone Mings in a £26.5 million deal, Dean Smith and Jesús García Pitarch (Sporting Director) have reportedly flown out to Cairo.

Trezeguet has impressed for club and country, starring for Egypt at the AFCON this summer and with an impressive one in three goal return in Turkey.

The 24 year old midfielder, formerly of Anderlecht, has expressed his desire to leave Turkish side Kasimpasa.

Trezeguet currently has a valuation in the region of £10 million pounds.

Any purchase would be seen to strengthen Villa’s wide threat, recently bolstered by the permanent transfer of Anwar El Ghazi and the shrewd acquisition of Jota.
