Fantastic result for the future of Aston Villa last night with a fine 2-0 win over Leeds to progress to the 6th Round of the F.A. Youth Cup.
The Villa youngsters left it late to seal victory with rookies Robinson and Burke making the tie safe in the final ten minutes. By all accounts it was a battling performance and the boys did well through periods of sustained pressure from the opposition.

Villa will be grateful they have kept clear of Liverpool who handed out a 9-0 drubbing to Southend’s kids – and along with ‘Pool the following remain in the competition:
- Chelsea
- Watford
- Middlesbrough
- Sheffield United.
- Man Utd/Newcastle (Play tonight)
- Leicester/Presten N.E. (Play tonight)
Villa will face Middlesbrough in the next round – a preliminary date of 26th February is set – but is yet to be confirmed.
