Established in 2011 – The Villa Underground is an independent Aston Villa supporter social-blog & website.


‘The Villa Underground’ started as a single Tumblr blog and soon branched out into the world of social media via Twitter. was created next to bring together what was becoming a sprawling network of fans and content.

The Villa Underground has documented it all.  From the highs of wins at Wembley to the disastrous relegation from the Premier League.

We now receive thousands of regular visitors each month, who actively read, discuss and share their views across social media and site comments.

While website and socials continue to grow, the focus is to work more collaboratively in order that The Villa Underground remains a balanced and representative source of Villa news and views.


To report & reflect upon Aston Villa’s performance, honestly, consistently and with integrity.

To remain passionate, independent & optimistic. [*Still working on that last one]
