VILLA V BORO
Villa’s reward for overcoming Colchester (2-1) in terrible conditions and battering Wigan (4-1) is a decidedly winnable home tie with Middlesbrough.
In the latest farcical, non-televised draw of the Carabao Calamity Cup:
- The draw was later than advertised [4:15am GMT], not kicking off with a presentation in Beijing until 4:30am.
- Fixtures were released on Twitter using pre-made graphics from 4:36am [GMT].
- This compounded two previous farcical draws for Rounds 1 & 2, the latest described as “beset by problems” in The Guardian.
