As the transfer window nears it’s conclusion, the future of Leicester striker Leo Ulloa has yet to be decided.
Whilst rumours have floated around throughout January, it seems unlikely that Villa will secure his loan signature with Premier League sides circling.
With Brighton still reportedly the firm favourite, realistically, the only chance of the Argentinian arriving at B6 is whether Villa can match both wage demands (unlikely given our dire FFP position) & if Leicester reject Ulloa joining another top flight side.

NAHKI WELLS

Burnley striker Wells finds himself on the periphery at Burnley, with the local press indicating that Steve Bruce has identified the 27 year old as a target.
Wells formed a crucial part of the successful Huddersfield promotion to the Premier League in 2016/17 and maintained a 1 in 3 goal average across 140+ appearances during a 3 year stay.
The Bermuda international, who you may remember as being part of the Bradford City side to defeat Paul Lambert‘s dismal Villa side in 2013, joined Burnley for £5 million in August 2017. Whilst no permanent deal looks likely, a loan move, with a right to recall for the parent club might not be beyond the realms of possibility.
Wells, proven at Championship level, would provide another option to Scott Hogan and invaluable depth given Jonathan Kodjia’s season long layoff.
Further, what with the uncertainty over Ross McCormack’s future, adding an attacking option would seem prudent with Villa requiring nothing less than promotion this term.
