- This compounded two previous farcical draws for Rounds 1 & 2, the latest described as “beset by problems” in The Guardian.

- [Updated 16:00pm] Tie to take place Tuesday 19th September with a 7:45pm kick off.
- Villa scheduled to face Barnsley on Saturday 16th September (away).
- Villa face Boro at Villa Park just a week prior (12th September)
- Old boys: Assuming there is no further movement in the transfer market, we could see the return of Rudy Gestede, Adama Traore & Stewart Downing. Albert Adomah will also face off against his former employers.
