JACOB BEDEAU
Jacob Bedeau has joined Scunthorpe United on a permanent deal from Villa.
The youngster, still just 19, was fiercely pursued by Villa after breaking into the Bury first team at just 16 years of age.
Whilst Bedeau was considered one for the future, it’s apparent that this isn’t at Villa Park.
Bedeau joins Scunthorpe on a two and a half year deal, free transfer.
Villa paid Bury £900,000 in January 2017, representing a not-inconsiderable loss.
FREDERIC GUILBERT
Villa have now confirmed the signing of French defender Frederic Guilbert from Caen.
With a fee in the region of £5 million reported – Guilbert will stay put for now – linking up with Villa in pre-season 2019.

HARRY MCKIRDY
21 year old academy striker Harry McKirdy has joined Newport County on loan for the rest of the 2018/19 campaign.
McKirdy has yet to make a senior appearance for Villa, but has been out on loan at both Stevenage and Crewe (3 goals in 16 appearances). The youngster was also part of the 2016 Hong Kong 7’s winning side.
McKirdy will link up with the Welsh League Two side immediately and will likely hope to be considered for Newport’s potential upcoming cup tie against Manchester City.
JAKE DOYLE-HAYES
Very highly rated central midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes has been sent out for important game time at Cambridge United.
Doyle-Hayes will link up with another double barrelled Villa man already there; Hepburn-Murphy.
The midfielder is expected to see out the rest of the campaign, under the watchful eye of none other than Steve Bruce’s former assistant manager Colin Calderwood. It’s a small world.
Other loans
Corey Blackett-Taylor has made the short distance to League One Walsall.
Callum O’Hare has joined Carlisle United for the rest of the season.
