Villa have unveiled the new home shirt for the 2019/20 season, alongside confirmation that Tyrone Mings joins in a £26.5m deal.
New shirt designers Kappa appear to have played this one very safe, opting for a straightforward and traditional take.
The shirt prominently features betting company W88, with BR88 as sleeve sponsor.
Whilst gambling is a marmite subject for many, especially when featuring on football shirts, the latest deal presumably makes the best commercial sense for Villa at this time.
Last season’s kit was emblazoned with 32Red, who now see themselves replaced by Wolves’ former sponsor W88.
FA guidelines outline that clubs should not feature either gambling or alcohol branding on children’s replica kits.
What are your thoughts on the new home shirt? Like it? Loathe it? Meh?
