Forest Friendly
Despite surrendering a 3-1 lead against Forest yesterday, the signs are there that things are improving. Judging a friendly is hard, and it’s important to be careful that the barometer of improvement/concern is kept in proportion.
Firstly, we appear to have much more about us going forward. We look a million miles away from the impotent team Sherwood inherited from Lambert. Whilst we are clearly in need of some sharpening up at the back, this will take time, experience for some and possibly the addition of a new face of two.
However, there were plenty of positives with an impressive hat-trick scored by Scott Sinclair and debut from new signing Jordan Veretout.

Gary Gardner has been linked with a loan back to Forest. This comes after the injury plagued 23 year old picked up another nasty looking injury whilst featuring for Villa against Swindon recently.
Villa and Newcastle are being linked to yet another French based player, this time Diego Rolan. The Uruguayan is a forward for Bordeaux & a fee of £14 million pounds has been suggested.
